A lot of fans weren’t expecting Megan Thee Stallion to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but with the series Wonder Man meant to look into the industry culture in the MCU, we should expect an appearance from more celebs.
As per insider Daniel RPK (via @WonderManNews), one celebrity is expected to appear as themselves for at least one episode of Wonder Man. We don’t know who that could be, but fans are already wondering who the MCU could get. I mean, they managed to cast Owen Wilson as a series regular in Loki; they would probably need someone more famous to show up in a project like Wonder Man.
So far, the only confirmed cast members for the series are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Lauren Glazier, and Ben Kingsley, who will be reprising his role as fake Mandarin actor Trevor Slattery. Rumor was also going around last year that Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) was being eyed to play Wonder Man’s manager, but we have yet to get an update on that.
With the MCU going more experimental with their new shows, I’m excited to see just how far Wonder Man will dive into the idea of a celebrity super hero. We already have industry shows like BoJack Horseman that set the gold standard, but how would Hollywood look like in a world where superheroes actually existed?
Wonder Man doesn’t have a release date yet, but if Disney is aiming for a 2023 release, they should release a trailer soon.
