At first glance there’s not much obvious similarity to be found between a green-hooded DC comic-book hero with a bow and a Hamptons socialite with a complicated love life.
Yet comparisons between the CW’s hottest new drama Arrow and ABC’s Revenge, (recently returned for a second season) continue to be a talking point among fans and critics of both shows.
Having seen every episode of both shows to date, we can attest to some pretty strong parallels.
And it appears we’re not the only ones who think so too. Check out these articles we found after just a little digging on the subject of parity between both shows.

“This is Arrow. It’s like Revenge only with one hundred percent more abs and way more murder.” – AfterElton.com

So what does this all prove? We think it simply means the theme of revenge is as hot right now as it ever has been. Justice, hope, redemption and forgiveness, which resonate throughout both Arrow and Revenge, are as relevant today as when Alexandre Dumas’ first penned his famous revenge tale ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ back in 1844.
Catch Arrow Wednesdays on the CW and Revenge Sundays on ABC.
