Watch: What’s It Like to be a Background Actor on Obi-Wan Kenobi

While Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen were front and center for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series had a lot of background characters to make up the budding rebellion as well as the Empire. High Republic host Krystina Arielle was actually given a chance to be a background character on the show, and we have a behind-the-scenes look at her job just being an extra on the series.
Watch this:
What’s great is, Arielle actually had some moments where she interacted with lead Ewan McGregor. Though they weren’t able to share the screen much on the series, they were able to chat a little about their experience making the show, and telling this particular chapter in the Star Wars saga. She even has some brief moments with co-stars Moses Ingram and O’Shea Jackson.
There are also moments in the featurette with Doug Chiang, who is the executive creative director of Lucasfilm and has been working on the franchise since the prequels. Though the franchise likes to tout its directors and actors, we have Chiang to thank for some of the timeless designs that help bring a galaxy far far away to life.
Though the series was described to be a limited one, Obi-Wan Kenobi does end in a cliffhanger that leaves a lot of room for future stories. There’s still a lot of places that the character can go to, but for now, Lucasfilm has not made an official announcement for a Season 2.
I’m here fingers crossed hoping they go back the anthology film route, because it’s a crime that Vader didn’t make a comeback to the big screen after Rogue One.
