For excited mates out there who are more than ready to watch the new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” the extended trailer is out! Premiered Feb. 6 during the Houston Super Bowl, it has caused a wave of nostalgia for spectators. After all, it’s been six long years since the last installment “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”
‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ Cast And Director
Expect a lot of wide oceans, decaying bodies and tricky escape routes with this pirate-packed film. Starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow along with Geoffrey Rush (Hector Barbossa), and Kevin Mcnally (Joshamee Gibbs).
With the cast, new characters are introduced like Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem)- the graceful captain of the decaying. With him are Henry (Brenton Thwaites), Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) and Shansa (Golshifteh Farahani).
By the way, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) is back! Last remembered as the brooding, secretive but romantic husband of Elizabeth (Kiera Knightley) in the series’ third film: “At World’s End,” what could we expect from him in this fifth franchise? Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an announcement about his beloved wife, Elizabeth showing up in the film just yet. Can “Dead Men Tell No Tales” get any more uncertain? Anticipation in this movie is quite the hype.
‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ Extended Trailer And Release Date
In the first trailer of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” the audience didn’t see the signature dreadlocks wrapped under the iconic red bandana with beads and trinkets. Instead, there were fresh faces that piqued the interest of millions of watchers.
In the 80-second extended trailer, Johnny Cash sings “Ain’t No Grave” with even more scenes of sea zombies stabbing seafarers in their attempt to wipe out the entire pirate species. Their eyes are dead set on Jack Sparrow, though. So, the escape artist is back with a mission to defeat Captain Salazar and his army of ghost pirates by finding the Trident of Poseidon- an artifact that will grant him control over the seas. Feel the excitement?
Sam Craske on Twitter seems to be pretty excited about Will Turn’s return:
