Netflix’s Big Mouth has offered us a unique look at puberty thanks to their personifications of concepts like Hormone Monsters and Shame Wizards; and now they’re running with that concept with the spinoff show, Human Resources. HR is set to premiere in March, and we have a new teaser that acts as a recruitment video:
The logline reads: Meet the professional team of creatures who make humans … human.
Though we’ve known about the concept of Hormone Monsters since the first season, Human Resources will be bringing in some newer creatures like the latest Love Bug as well as the previous seasons’ Anxiety Mosquito.
As per Deadline, we’re also going to be meeting some new creatures this time around, and HR has managed to nab some A-list actors to voice them. Henry Winkler will be voicing Keith from Grief and Rosie Perez will be Petra the Ambition Gremlin. Other actors will also be coming back to reprise their roles from Big Mouth like Jemaine Clement (Simon Sex), Thandiwe Newton (Mona the Hormone Monstress), and Bobby Cannavale (Gavin the Hormone Monster).
Besides them, Big Mouth regulars Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, and David Thewlis are also set for a comeback.
While Big Mouth focused mostly on the kids, Human Resources will likely give us some insight on some ‘monsters’ that plague adult life as well. It’s a very interesting take on psychology, and the show offers some interesting insight when it comes to concepts like depression and anxiety. Not to mention the humor is solid.
Catch Human Resources when it premieres on Netflix on March 18.
