Watch ‘Mixed Reality’ Spot for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts won’t be out until June, but Paramount has dropped some new promos teasing the next entry in the franchise. What’s cool is, the 2023 NCAA Men’s Final Four event has delivered a pretty cool ‘Mixed Reality’ spot that brings Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime to the spotlight.
Check this out:
Admittedly, the two didn’t really do much but stand around, but it’s always neat to see the leaders of the Autobots and Maximals come together onscreen. I’m especially a fan of how the treated the new transformers by making them look like cybernetic animals and sizing them up to match the vehicle-sized robots.
Paramount has been very sparing when it comes to Rise of the Beasts’ marketing, but it’s possible that the film’s VFX still isn’t completed and they don’t have much to show off. Even trailers for The Flash and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom have been delayed because the VFX just wasn’t finished.
Either way, I’m excited for the Transformers franchise to bring back more than just Bumblebee. Beast Wars was such a huge hit when it originally came out, and I’m excited to see an updated version of the characters for modern audiences.
Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts comes to cinemas on June 9.
