Watch IMAX 3D Trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The 3D fad may have come and gone since the first Avatar movie came out, but that doesn’t mean that the big studios haven’t been trying to add a bit more spectacle to their films. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is also getting the 3D treatment, and we have an alternate IMAX 3D trailer that shows off what we could get with the elevated experience.

You basically get a tease of the elements that are expected to pop out of the screen, what with them going over the bars. While I expected that most of the 3D elements would just be the foreground like smoke and rocks, we also get some regular scenes where a character looks like they’re jumping out of the screen.

I’ll admit, I don’t really jump in on the 3D gimmick because I find it distracting, but with Quantumania promising to give us some dazzling visuals from a strange new dimension, I could be willing to cash in for the IMAX 3D experience for the heck of it. I mean, if Avatar managed to feel as immersive as it did in 3D, I’m willing to sink into the Quantum Realm for the first time if that was the goal.

Ant-Man and the Wasp find themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that pushes them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
