WATCH: Fan Attempts to Lip-Read Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3 Update

In true Deadpool marketing fashion, Ryan Reynolds has announced the third movie in spectacular fashion alongside his would-be co-star Hugh Jackman. The two had decided to troll the fans even further with a video allegedly explaining how they’ll bring Wolverine back, but the audio gets drowned out by Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.

Seeing that this is the internet, a fan has attempted to try and lip read what Jackman and Reynolds were saying in the video, but it doesn’t really reveal that much. Watch this vid from Jomboy Media:

The lip read does seem pretty accurate, and it looks like Reynolds and Jackman were just doing some improv and trying to be as animated as possible. Seeing as how fans obsess over trailers frame-by-frame, it’s no surprise that Reynolds was already anticipating that someone was going to try and lip read this promo—so the bad improv was just to further troll anyone who was looking for clues.

We don’t have an official synopsis for Deadpool 3, but a rumor is going out that the story will film will involve Deadpool and Wolverine narrating some kind of road trip, but both have conflicting versions of the story. It completely tracks for a Deadpool story, with both movies having nonlinear narration, but I’m honestly looking forward to a DP film with a completely new angle after this one.

Deadpool 3 is slated for a release on Sept. 6, 2024.
