Watch Edi Patterson’s Hilarious BTS Tour of The Righteous Gemstones

After Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals, Danny McBride has brought HBO comedy gold once again with The Righteous Gemstones. The series is currently going through its second season, and we have a hilarious behind-the-scenes look with one of the series stars, Edi Patterson.

While not as crazy as Judy Gemstone, Patterson still has some fun with this BTS look, going around giving people ‘tips.’ She even got some co-stars to appear like Tim Baltz (BJ) and Cassidy Freeman (Amber Gemstone) with their own bits.

For now, The Righteous Gemstones is set to have nine episodes come out for the second season, and we just got through Episode 4. While we don’t have as intense of a story as the one we got in the first season, we do have some more background explained in Season 2—especially when it comes to the Gemstone patriarch Dr. Eli Gemstone (John Goodman).

For now, the series is following multiple threads, from the Gemstone “kids” trying to run the family business themselves to them trying to figure out who killed Jason Shwartzman’s reporter character. Though we don’t have as much of a serialized story, the dysfunctional family is still a lot of fun to watch; just make sure you aren’t too offended by the multiple jabs at televangelists and religious groups.
