VIDEO: FOX Fall Previews

Genre fans will surely be pleased with FOX’s Fall schedule this year. The Network is rolling out two ambitious new shows, scifi drama Almost Human from Fringe creator J.H. Wyman, and fantasy thriller Sleepy Hollow from co-creators/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

Almost Human stars Trek’s Karl Urban as John Kennex, a police officer from the year 2048. Injured in the line of duty, Kennex is assigned an artificial intelligence in the form of Dorian, played by Michael Ealy.

Strict new laws state that all human officers must be partnered with an AI protector, but Kennex’s experiences with non-humans have taught him to be wary. Forced together by circumstance, Dorian and Kennex must find a middle ground if they are to bring to light the conspiracy that took the life of Kennex’s original human partner and almost left him for dead.

In this new FOX Fall Preview, the cast discuss what brought them to the project, how the Almost Human world closely mirrors our own and just why the show will differ from standard cop procedurals.

Almost Human kicks off Monday November 4th 8/7c on FOX.

Sleepy Hollow meanwhile comes to FOX on Monday September 16th and stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane and Nicole Beharie as his reluctant modern-day partner, Detective Abbie Archer. When Ichabod decapitates a relentless and mysterious horseman in battle, succumbing to his own injuries in the process, he returns to life some 250 years later in the modern day town of Sleepy Hollow. The world as Ichabod knew it has changed – with one exception. His relentless pursuer lives on, and is just as intent on Ichabod’s demise as ever before. Crane faces the mammoth task of convincing the highly sceptical Abbie Archer (Behaire) to believe his wild tale and to assist him in his quest to defeat the horseman. Abbie has reasons to want to forget the creepy goings on in her home town, a place where seemingly everyone harbors a secret agenda, but when Crane’s stories start to drag up painful memories of her past, she has no choice but to take a closer look at Sleepy Hollow.
