At the young age of 21, Tom Holland has reached a great landing for building his career. From dancing to theater acting, he sure has a knack for stage performing. Although he has reached the dream of becoming one of his favorite superheroes in the upcoming film “Spiderman: Homecoming,” he does have a line-up for even more goals. One of which is to direct and produce a film.
Tom Holland Film Career
In the Holland family, the career of being in front of the camera and behind it seems to be natural. Tom’s mother Nicola Elizabeth, is a photographer. And his father, Dominic Holland, is a comedian and author. It seems as if he was born to be accompanied by cameras.
His younger brother, Harry Holland, is a self-made filmmaker himself. He’s got a youtube account where he posts all his film. For an 18-year old, these sure are interesting pieces. In fact, Tom Holland has already directed a film and it’s on his brother’s account. It’s entitled “Tweet,” starring their little brother Paddy Holland. This satirical short film has over 27,000+ views.
Tom Holland shares he has a few ideas for films
In an interview with CNET, he expresses his hidden passion about movie making—not as part of the cast. But as a member of the crew.
“I just would really love to learn more about the industry that I work in, and I think the best way to do that is to make the movies rather than just be in them.”
This English boy aspiring to direct his own film already has ideas, he says. He’s willing to do just about anything, except Horror, apparently.
“I have a few ideas for little films that I’d like to do. Couple of thrillers and stuff, but I’m open to anything, really. Horror would be what I couldn’t do because I’m just such a wuss.” he explains.
Fortunately, he’s on the right stepping stone to reach his ultimate dream. But because his acting career is still soaring, it might be a while before he could slow down, and pursue his filmmaking goals.
