With the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe crossing over for Avengers: Endgame, Kevin Feige is said to be upping the ante with Avengers: Secret Wars by uniting all Marvel properties including the ones outside of the MCU.
As per a new rumor from @MyTimeToShineH, Secret Wars has already signed on Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman to reprise their roles as Spider-Man and Wolverine. Here’s the post:
Yes Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman will meet and fight alongside each other in Secret Wars

I’ll admit, the news seems too good to be true, but if they were able to bring Maguire back for No Way Home and Jackman back for Deadpool 3, I think a crossover with both of them doesn’t seem too farfetched.
Personally, I think relying too much on the appearance of these legacy characters could be detrimental to the brand in the long run; but even if that was the case, I’m sure there is a great way to bring back the characters without it feeling like they’re banking too much on nostalgia.
I’m just hoping they also pay attention to some lesser-celebrated Marvel properties. How about a cameo from Ben Affleck’s Daredevil or maybe the ‘00s Fantastic Four complete with Chris Evans as the Human Torch?
If anything, the movie is still a long way to go, and a lot of changes could happen over the years, depending on what Marvel plans to do. In the meantime, all fans can do is just wait.
Catch Avengers: Secret Wars when it hits theaters on May 1, 2026. The next Marvel property, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, comes to cinemas on Feb. 17.
