'Titans' Season 1, Episode 6 'Jason Todd' Recap: The Robins

The Nuclear Family tries to attack the Titans, but they are not victorious. A lead that brings them to The Organization goes south until the new Robin appears. Meanwhile, Koriand’r (Anna Diop) takes care of Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) and Gar Logan (Ryan Potter).

After Jason rescues Dick from The Organization’s men, the Robins head to one of Bruce Wayne’s safehouses. Bringing Dr. Adamson (Reed Birney) with them, Dick then calls Kory to bring Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) and Gar Logan (Ryan Potter) with her. When they arrive, Dick tells Kory the next issue he and Jason needed to deal with: the Serial Killer. As a result, Kory watches over Rachel, Gar, and Dr. Adamson, cuffed inside a bathroom.

Dick and Jason’s mission is to find the man responsible for killing members of his surrogate family, all except Clayton Williams (Lester Speight). They decide to locate Clayton and make sure that he was safe, which was true until a car explodes outside the bar where Clayton works. Before neither of them knew it, Clayton was in the hands of Nicolas Zucco (Kyle Mac), knowing that Robin’s identity as he interfered with Tony Zucco (Richard Zeppieri), his father, who killed Dick’s parents’ prison transfer.

Still, Nicolas was no match for the two Robins. After Dick rescues Clayton, Jason incapacitates police officers who responded to the scene, causing conflict between him and Dick. However, this defined the difference between Dick and Jason. The violence that being Robin brings is nothing alien to Jason, while Dick refuses to embrace it.

Highlighting Dick and Jason’s relationship makes this episode different from the others. Seeing their dynamic on screen is something the fans wanted for a long time. Also, Curran owns up to Jason Todd’s character, blending well with Brenton Thwaites’s portrayal of Dick Grayson. The next thing the show should work on is a Batman appearance, even just for a brief second.

Titans continues on Friday, November 23rd at the DC Streaming Service.
