Thor: Love and Thunder Gets New BTS Featurette Ahead of Disney+ Premiere

This week will finally see Thor: Love and Thunder coming to streaming, and to hype up the release, we have a new BTS featurette for the movie featuring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Taika Waititi goofing around on set.

Regardless of what you thought of the film, it seems that everyone behind-the-scenes was just having fun, riffing jokes off their characters. Though not every joke landed in the movie, I think that it was still able to please its core audience—the kids; at least, that’s who I think Waititi was directing the movie at.

As someone who wasn’t the biggest fan of Ragnarok, I thought that Love and Thunder fixed a lot of my problems with the previous film. The bond between Thor and Jane felt more authentic, and the movie has a lot of more serious moments that I felt Ragnarok was uneasily trying to avoid.

Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced — a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who — to his surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance.

Thor: Love and Thunder comes to Disney+ this Sept. 08.
