In “The Walking Dead” season 7, Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) both suffered a violent death. The two were got their brains whacked by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his barbed-wire bat which he nicknamed Lucille.
But to fans’ utmost delight, Abraham returned for the “The Walking Dead” season 7 Finale. This happened when Sasha Williams (Sonequa Martin-Green) reminisced her last days with him as she was near death from taking suicide pills. This tragic way of Abraham making a cameo paved the way for fans to think of the possibility of a Glenn cameo, hopefully with Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan).
The Walking Dead Fan Fantasy Turns Into Possible Reality
It turns out that possibility might not just be something fans are telling themselves. In a TVLine interview with Scott Gimple, the series’ showrunner said that seeing Glenn again on the show is a possibility.
With Maggie still alive in the series, and hopefully will stay alive as long as the show follows the comics faithfully like it always had, the possibilities of how Glenn will appear are endless. He could appear in a dream or any other non-real-time scenes like flashbacks.
Gimple also relayed a possible scene of the birth of Glenn and Maggie’s child, but he says it may not be happening as soon as fans expect it to be. Well, no matter how long fans have to wait at least the fan fantasy of seeing Glenn again on “The Walking Dead” isn’t totally ruled out.
Season 8 of “The Walking Dead” airs on October 2017.
