We are finally done with “The Voice” Blind Auditions and the Battle Rounds! Now, we will head off to the next part of the competition- the Knockout Rounds. Aside from the “steal,” coach Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys will also have the power to “save” a teammate. However, they should always remember that they can only use the “steal” and “save” button once.
Team Blake: Jaclyn Lovey vs. Kyla Jade
Blake stole Jaclyn from Team Alicia during the Battle Rounds because he thinks she’s incredible. But pairing Jaclyn with Blake’s favorite, Kyla Jade, didn’t give justice to the steal at all.
Jaclyn performed Corrine Bailey Rae’s “Put Your Records On” where she was able to showcase her singing skills and abilities. Kyla, on the other hand, delivered her version of Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me.”
The coaches were amazed by Kyla and Jaclyn’s performances but the one who got a standing ovation stays, and she is none other than Kyla Jade. Blake clearly has more time to spend with his favorite member.
Team Kelly: Justin Kilgore vs. Kaleb Lee
Justin probably chose the wrong song, so he didn’t give his best shot. He sang Garth Brook’s “Shameless.” Despite the fact that Justin is a four-chair turner, he didn’t manage to convince Kelly in choosing him.
Meanwhile, Blake admitted that his biggest regret this season is letting Kaleb go, and he could be right! Kaleb performed an outstanding and notable performance of the song “Free.” Kaleb stays with Kelly, and hopefully, he could give Kelly’s first ever championship.
Team Adam: Jackie Foster vs. Mia Boostrom
Jackie and Mia are both great “The Voice” singers, so it’s not surprising to see the coaches being competitive just to have one of them. Eventually, Adam chose Mia, but he was willing to spend his sole “save” to Jackie. Kelly, Blake, and Alicia, however, wanted to steal Jackie, so Adam has nothing to do but to fight for his member.
Jackie became the center of attention and argumentation between the coaches, but Alicia came out to be victorious. Mia sang “Wade In The Water” by Eva Cassidy while Jackie performed “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence.
Team Blake: Austin Giorgio vs. Spensha Baker
Austin performed his rendition of Nat King Cole’s “Almost Like Being In Love.” His “The Voice” performance was almost flawless, and his genre could pass for a modern-day audience.
Spensha, on the other hand, delivered a soulful performance of “Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton. Kelly said that she is willing to buy Spensha’s album someday. Neither of the two went home. Even though Blake picked Spensha, he also saved Austin!
Team Alicia: Johnny Bliss vs. Miya Bass
Johnny Bliss did well in his performance. He sang “Alive” by Sia. Johnny stays with Alicia while Miya’s journey in “The Voice” ended.
It seems that Miya’s confidence level was too low during her performance. Adam didn’t pick Miya during her battle against Adam’s favorite, Drew Cole. This could be the reason why all of the confidence and composure that Miya has shown in the past episodes vanished. Miya performed Ed Sheeran’s “Castle On The Hill.”
Team Adam: Drew Cole vs. Jackie Verna
Adam almost lost his favorite team member after listening to Jackie’s performance in the “The Voice” Knockout Rounds. Jackie surprised everyone with her version of Lady Antebellum’s “American Honey.” Adam didn’t expect that kind of performance from Jackie, so he chose to keep her.
Drew sang Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands.” Drew did what was expected of him but he didn’t go beyond that. Fortunately, Adam was able to save him!
“The Voice” continues Tuesday, April 3rd, at 8/7c on NBC.
