“The Voice” Battle Rounds continue tonight with Part 2! Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys try their best to decide cleverly. The contestants, on the other hand, did their best to perform well for their coaches. Here are the results and performances of the second part of The Battles that you might have missed.
Team Kelly: Amber Sauer vs. Jorge Eduardo
Jorge Eduardo and Amber Sauer proved that people should never underestimate a one-chair turner. They performed Hailee Steinfeld and Grey feat. Zedd’s “Starving” with Jorge playing the guitar. Even though both of them sang the song well, Jorge proved that he’s far way better, so Kelly chose him.
It seems, however, that Kelly made the right choice since Jorge proved his skills and singing prowess in the Spanish version of “The Voice,” La Voz. Jorge might have some more hidden traits and talent, so let’s see what else he can give to the next level of the competitions next week.
Team Adam: Davison vs. Reid Umstattd
Coach Adam chose a song that doesn’t fit with Davison and Reid’s genre. Davison’s style is R&B, while Reid is a country singer. Everyone thought that the song choice would hinder the two in performing well, but Reid surprised the viewers by hitting the high notes of the song. Davison, however, seems out of his style during their performance.
Davison and Reid sang “Love On The Brain” by Rihanna. In the end, Adam chose Reid since he brought out some surprising elements in his voice.
Team Alicia: Jordyn Simone vs. Kelsea Johnson
These two artists don’t just look alike, but they also sound like each other. Jordyn and Kelsea sang En Vogue’s “Don’t Let Go (Love),” where they were able to showcase the strengths and uniqueness of their voice and style.
Alicia decided to pick Kelsea, but Jordyn did great, so Blake got her for his team.
‘The Voice’ Battle Montage
Team Blake: Branson Ireland vs. Jaron Strom
This is a battle between a one-chair turner versus a two-chair turner. They sang a country ballad song titled “Head Over Boots.” Although the song is technically Branson’s genre, Blake was more impressed by Jaron, so he decided to keep him. If you remember, Jaron convinced Blake to do the “happy dance” during the blind auditions, and now he convinced him again, but this time in choosing him.
Team Alicia: Johnny Bliss vs. Megan Lee
Johnny and Megan performed “Versace On The Floor” by Bruno Mars. Alicia chose Johnny because she believes that he has a phenomenal voice and a huge personality.
Team Kelly: Teana Boston vs. Jamella
Kelly decided based on who will be able to hold her ground against the other people on her team, and she thinks it is Jamella, so he chose her. Teana and Jamella sang “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”
“The Voice” continues Monday and Tuesday night, March 26th and 27th, at 8/7c on NBC.
