From 60 contestants, we are now down to the Top 8 of “The Voice.” After seven of the other contestants are revealed to be safe, the remaining three who weren’t, though, would have to convince the judges and America for the instant save. Blake is probably the luckiest coach this season because he got three team members going to the semi-finals! Here’s a rundown of what happened during the “Live Top 10 Eliminations.”
The Voice: Top 8 Contestants
Kyla Jade, Britton Buchanan, Brynn Cartelli, Jackie Foster, Pryor Baird, Kaleb Lee, and Spensha Baker were voted through by America by way of actual votes, streams, and downloads. The results left Rayshun LaMarr, Christiana Danielle, and Jackie Verna in the bottom three. They will be fighting for one last spot in the “The Voice” Top 8.
Team Adam: Rayshun LaMarr
Rayshun was part of the bottom two during the Top 12 Eliminations. Fortunately, he was able to continue his journey in the singing competition. Now, Rayshun was once again at the bottom three. But just like like what he did during the Live Top 12 Eliminations, he proved that he deserves to stay longer in “The Voice.”
Rayshun sang Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” for his Instant Save performance, and he successfully claimed the last spot for the Top 8!
Team Alicia: Christiana Danielle
Like Rayshun, Christiana had been in the bottom two before, but she also managed to continue in “The Voice.” But unlike her first experience, Christiana was not successful this time. She failed to convince the coaches and the audience that she got the power to continue in the competition.
Christiana sang Joe Cocker’s “Unchain My Heart” for her Instant Save Performance. Christiana’s journey in “The Voice” may have ended, but the most important thing is that she brought joy to the audience and coaches using her unique singing skills and abilities.
Team Adam: Jackie Verna
Like Christiana, Jackie’s journey in “The Voice” also ended. She sang Carrie Underwood’s “I Told You So” for her Instant Save Performance. Jackie definitely gave her best, but probably this is not the time for her to be the next voice of America yet! Surely, something is waiting for Jackie outside of “The Voice.”
“The Voice” continues next Monday, May 14th, with the “Live Top 8 Performances” at 8/7c on NBC.
