“The Voice” continues with the Knockout Rounds, where every team has to eliminate members and secure those contestants who have the potential to be the show’s champion. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys carries a big responsibility on their shoulders so they should never make a mistake in judging and deciding. Joining the coaches are advisors (and former Voice winners) Cassadee Pope, Chloe Kohanski, Chris Blue, and Jordan Smith
Team Kelly: Brynn Cartelli vs. Jamella
Brynn, a 14-year-old, still has a long way to go to develop her singing skills and capabilities. Brynn delivered her version of Rascal Flatts’ “Here Comes Goodbye.” Brynn didn’t reach all the notes of the song, but she was lucky enough to overshadow all those mistakes with her voice control.
Jamella, on the other hand, sang “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town. Like Brynn, Jamella also struggled in some parts of her performance, but she finished it smoothly. Despite the effort that Jamella has shown, it was Brynn who Kelly picked. And this is because she has a lot more to offer in the next level of the competition.
Team Blake: Jaron Strom vs. Pryor Baird
Jaron focused more on his movements onstage than his singing. His “The Voice” audition wasn’t that remarkable, and his Battle performance was montaged. During the Knockout Round, Jason sang “Grenade” by Bruno Mars and incorporated a lot of movements in his song again.
Pryor performed Billy Preston’s “Will It Go Round In Circles,” and he was able to convince Blake to choose him.
Team Alicia: Christiana Danielle vs. Terrence Cunningham
Christiana and Terrence were two of the early favorites in “The Voice.” Both of them are great singers and perform well, so pairing them would give Alicia a tough decision.
Christiana performed “Elastic Heart” by Sia while Terrence chose to sing “Tell Me Something Good” by Chaka Khan. Luckily, neither of Christiana and Terrence went home. Alicia picked Terrence, but she was able to save Christiana.
“The Voice” continues next Monday, April 9th, at 8/7c on NBC.
