The Vampire Diaries Season 8: Nina Dobrev Returns, Fans Celebrate; See Photo

Nina Dobrev has thrilled a lot of fans after confirming her return to “The Vampire Diaries” in an Instagram post with a Season 8 spoiler title.
“I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT,” Dobrev captions her photo, which quickly went viral. It got a million likes on Instagram within three hours. On Twitter, she says, “It’s officially official.”

Reports say “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 finale will be the series finale, too. Some fans are still hopeful this is not the case. However, some fans believe Dobrev’s return could be a clue that things are indeed coming to an end.

Based on Dobrev’s post, her character Elena Gilbert returns in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8, Episode 16. The episode, titled “I Was Feeling Epic,” was written by Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson. Julie Plec is also directing Dobrev’s much anticipated return.
