The Vampire Diaries returns to the CW for its third season on September 15th.

New promotional pictures have emerged featuring Nina Dobrev (Elena), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Joseph Morgan (Klaus) each clutching a piece of ‘forbidden fruit’ in one hand.
