Mark Manson had released his self-help book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck way back in 2016 (of all years) and his book managed to become a New York Times bestseller that introduced a lot of people to an alternate mindset in living a happy life.
Now Manson is ready to release a film based on the book, and we have a new trailer for The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: The Movie:
Here’s the official description:
The film will explore society’s obsessions with the pursuit of happiness and will be presented by Mark Manson alongside Disappointment Panda, a character from the book whose superpower is to tell people the harsh truth.
With the Millennial mindset seemed to be latched on to cynicism and apathy, I think that was a big reason that TSAONGAF managed to resonate with so many people—especially around 2016 which was considered to be one of the worst years ever before 2020 took the crown from it.
Though a lot of people may think that the self-help genre is just a scam, I am intrigued at the premise of ‘Not giving a f*ck’ being turned into a message of optimism and positivity.
If you can’t wait for the movie to come out in a month, you can check out the book, or the book summary which Manson has posted on Youtube:
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck will come to theaters on Jan. 4, 2023.
