The Mandalorian 3 Trailer Teases Another War for Mandalore

Disney+ Star Wars may be focused on legacy characters this year, but 2023 will see the return of The Mandalorian with Din Djarin and his ‘son’ Grogu. D23 has dropped a new trailer for the third season, and it teases a war among Mandalorians.

We don’t have a full story synopsis for the third season, but this time we’re going to be seeing more Mandalorians besides our main Mando Din.

Katee Sackhoff’s Bo Katan is back, and it looks like she’s going to be giving Din a lesson on Mandalorian culture. While Din has been following the guidance of the Armorer this whole time, the removal of his helmet has led the Armorer to somewhat banish him from their ‘cult’–the very same cult that Bo is blaming for the destruction of their home planet.

So should Mando find a way back to his cult? Or should he embrace another side of Mandalorian culture that his religion has actively rejected?

Trough out its run, The Mandalorian has always been more episodic in nature, so maybe we should expect the same when it comes to the third season. Then again, with the development of the characters, maybe fans are ready for something more serialized this time around. I mean, the series keeps tip-toeing around the Siege of Mandalore, and it would be great if we can just focus on that instead of having another ‘heist-of-the-week’ format that the previous seasons gave us.

Then again, that’s just my opinion.

The Mandalorian returns to Disney+ in 2023.
