“Mount Rushmore,” the second episode of “The Good Doctor,” gave us another emotional story that focuses on honesty and the start of Dr. Shaun Murphy’s (Freddie Highmore) struggles as he starts his tenure as a surgeon at St. Bonaventure Hospital. His attention to detail gets way in over his abilities and it gives off a little bit of complication to his job. Dr. Claire Brown, meanwhile, was forced to learn how to be honest as she is faced with a difficult diagnosis for her latest patient.
‘The Good Doctor: Oliver’ will show our doctors racing against time
For those who can’t wait to see what happens to the Claire-Shaun tandem, “Oliver” will premiere next week and will offer an in-depth look at the two’s chemistry. Things appear to be heating up for the third episode of “The Good Doctor.”
Previously, we saw the beginning of Dr. Shaun’s dilemma as a surgeon living within the spectrum. Dr. Claire also struggles to make herself shine despite being some kind of second-in-command to Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez). In “Oliver,” we will see Dr. Neil and Dr. Jared Kalu (Chuku Modu) struggle with honesty on their patient’s end as they discover something that might cost the patience his life during his surgery. Claire and Shaun, on the other hand, will have to figure out how to effectively communicate with each other. They’re up against time as they try to get back to St. Bonaventure as fast as they can with a donated organ on their watch.
“The Good Doctor: Oliver” airs Monday, October 9 at 10 PM on ABC.
