“The Flash” Season 4, episode 14 is premiering next week, but the hype is also building up for episode 15, titled “Enter Flashtime.” But for you to know what to expect for “Subject 9,” here’s a synopsis:
“After hearing that Amunet (guest star Katee Sackhoff) has struck a deal to buy all of the metahumans in Iron Heights, Barry (Grant Gustin) must decide if he should expose his powers in order to save his cellmates. After a visit from an old friend, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) is reminded of his shady past and wonders if he’s really a changed man.”
Another speedster team up in ‘The Flash.’
Now, everything gets more exciting in “Enter Flashtime.” In the upcoming episode, the synopsis also reveals the comeback of Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) and Jesse Quick (Violett Beane). The two will team up with Flash to detonate a nuclear bomb that threatens to destroy the Central City. The three speedsters will enter “Flashtime”—a state where they move so fast that everything else seems to be standing still. The “flash time” dimension debuted in the “Trial of the Flash” episode. In it, Barry stopped time to talk with Iris (Candice Patton). Here’s the synopsis:
“When a nuclear bomb detonates in downtown Central City, Barry, Jesse Quick and Jay Garrick slow down time by entering Flash time. As everyone in the city is frozen, the three speedsters push themselves to the breaking point to save the city and everyone in it.”
We’ve last seen Jay Garrick in the season 3 finale where he was freed from the Speed Force. Jesse Quick, on the other hand, was last seen in the third episode of the current season called “Luck be a Lady.” We saw her dump Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) with a break-up cube delivered by Harry (Tom Cavanagh). Now the question remains: what could be the threat to these three speedsters who seems to stop the time from running so fast?
Find out when The Flash returns on February 27. The show airs Tuesday nights at 9/8c on The CW.
