The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has been Edited to Remove Scenes of Violence

With the Marvel Netflix shows coming to Disney+, it looked like the streaming platform was ready to embrace more mature stories in the franchise. But as it turns out, there’s been a new edit done to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that actually removes violence.
As pointed out by The Direct, there are two specific scenes from TFATWS that have been edited. One is to remove blood on the Dr. Nagel character, and another is to edit one scene where the Winter Soldier throws a pipe through a person, but instead of going through, it just bounces off of them.

This is considered quite the odd move for Disney, seeing that they’ve just brought in more mature shows like Daredevil and Punisher in their platform unedited. I’m suspecting this was actually done by a team that didn’t know there were going to be changes in the content policy, but maybe Disney will give fans an option for the more PG version or the original.
Since the release of the Marvel Netflix shows on Disney+, fans are curious on what direction Disney wants to take the characters. There’s no way the series can fit into the overall MCU canon, but maybe via the Multiverse solution, they can pick and choose which Netflix characters they want to bring over to their larger universe without having to break anything they’ve established since 2008.
Disney+ may be gearing for the release of Moon Knight this Wednesday, but you can check out the complete The Falcon and the Winter Soldier now available on the platform.
