A lot of fans are excited for the Wolverine/Deadpool team-up for Deadpool 3, but we should expect the film to feature all kinds of new characters from the X-Men universe.
Just in, Ryan Reynolds has announced that Emma Corrin (The Crown, Pennyworth) will be joining the cast of Deadpool 3. Here’s the post:
New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin! ⚔️❤️⚔️ pic.twitter.com/LSobi4AqO9

We don’t have any details about who Corrin would be playing, but the emojis of the crossing swords with a heart in between them could hint that she could be a DP love interest. With the film said to be gearing up for more multiverse shenanigans, some guess that she could be a DP variant, Lady Deadpool who heads the Deadpool Corps.
Personally, I like the guess that she could be Gwenpool a.k.a. Gwen Poole. Gwen doesn’t have a direct connection to DP, but she does have the same fourth-wall-breaking powers, which she actually uses to her advantage in some stories. In the comics, Gwen comes from a reality where she read the Marvel comics, and she knows all of the updates and lore when it comes to all the characters—which she uses to her advantage.
Who knows, if Gwenpool gets introduced this season, she could very much get her own Disney+ series. Heck, they can even have her crossover with She-Hulk, who is also a fourth-wall-breaker.
We don’t know when they’ll officially announce her character, but we should get an update soon. Deadpool 3 is set to release in theaters on Nov. 8, 2024.
