A whiff of romance brushes the air in Lanford then before anyone realizes, winter starts. The cold, chilly breeze does not only bring snow but a lonely soul, looking for a partner. Also, The Conners face some things new to them before the holidays.
In this week’s episode of The Conners, Becky Conner (Lecy Goranson) helps keep Harris Conner-Healy’s (Emma Kenney) secret from Darlene Conner (Sara Gilbert). However, this sparks an argument between the sisters. Meanwhile, Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf) grows sick of helping Peter (Matthew Broderick) with his Nordic History project. Because of his lifelong marriage to Roseanne, Dan Conner (John Goodman) misses Lewis’ (Katey Sagal) flirty cues.
Nordic History Paper
Jackie supports her boyfriend, Peter, in every way possible. In their apartment, she does the chores, and she even pays for his tuition. However, Jackie reaches the last straw when they simulate Nordic Daily Living for Peter’s history paper. As much as she wants to be as supportive as possible, she could not continue living like a Viking’s wife any longer.
Cover Up
When Harris gets caught drinking in the woods, a police officer brings her home. Luckily, Becky answers the door and agrees to keep it a secret from Darlene. However, Darlene eventually finds out when the cop heads back to their house with Harris’ scarf. Just as Darlene lectured Harris, Becky overhears Darlene using her as a bad example. Darlene finds her playing pool in a bar, where they talk things through, agreeing to always be there for each other.
Still A Catch
When Dan’s old friend, Lewis, invited him to go to a concert with her, Becky sees the entire thing and tells Darlene and Jackie, both alarmed. Because of this, they warn Dan about Lewis’ motives, but he does not take this seriously. On the night of the concert, Dan finally picks up on Lewis’ cues. Realizing this, Dan politely asks her to remain friends only to which Lewis understands and agrees.
