The Book of Boba Fett: Simon Pegg Talks Possible Return as Live-Action Dengar

Star Trek’s Simon Pegg had already joined a galaxy far far away as Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but he teases that he could be coming back for a familiar bounty hunter role in the future.

In an interview with ComicBookMovie’s Josh Wilding, Pegg was asked on reprising his role of Dengar for The Book of Boba Fett, to which he replies, “Not in this season, but you just never know. I’ve put many things out into the universe in the past, and they’ve oddly come back to me; so I occasionally throw out these little cultural boomerangs. We’ll see.”

Just in case you didn’t know, Pegg had voiced Dengar in the animated Clone Wars:

Despite the handful of fan-favorite bounty hunters in Empire Strikes Back, the Disney+ series have been very sparing when it comes to bringing the characters back on screen. If anything, there are several hints at characters like with the appearance of Trandoshans (Bossk), and IG-11 in The Mandalorian(IG-88). Maybe we’ll see some more familiar characters down the line (like Pegg as Dengar), but for now, it seems like we’ve already seen all the players that will be brought back for the last two episodes.

Then again, I could be wrong.

For now, it looks like Boba will be taking on the Hutt twins with Fennec Shand, Din Djarin, his cyborg biker gang, and maybe Black Krrsantan. We don’t know who the Hutts have on their side, but it’s possible they could be some other familiar bounty hunters from the Star Wars universe. Maybe they even have access to some Imperial remnants. We’ll just have to wait and see.
