The Book of Boba Fett Just Brought a Star Wars Comic Character into Live-Action

The second season of The Mandalorian had managed to bring characters from animated Star Wars to live-action with Ahsoka and Bo-Katan, and now with The Book of Boba Fett, we get a live-action debut of someone from the comics.
Introduced as a mercenary for the Hutt twins, wookiee bounty hunter Black Krrsantan made his first ever live-action appearance. In the comics, Krrsantan was a hunter frequently hired by Jabba the Hutt and had actually partnered up with Boba in the Darth Vader comic. It’s even a small easter egg that Boba should call him a gladiator, as that’s part of Krrsantan’s story—kidnapped from Kashyyyk and trained as a gladiator.
Krrsantan has also had other encounters with Star Wars characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Doctor Aphra—the latter speculated to make her debut in the Kenobi series coming later this year. With the EU and Legends having such a rich bank of fan-favorite characters, it’s great that Lucasfilm is finding out different ways to integrate them into live-action. Let’s just hope that they don’t rely too much on the fanservice (like what happened with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker).
After an underwhelming premiere, The Book of Boba Fett’s second chapter has managed to raise the stakes and has given us a look at who could be the primary antagonists of the series. Let’s hope this show has managed to learn from previous seasons of The Mandalorian and give us some well-rounded entries every week.
