THE BLACKLIST Sneak Peeks(2): Red Finally Hears the Mystery Phone Call

Red (James Spader) finally gets to hear the voice recording of the person who identified him to the police and led to his arrest in the first of two new sneak peek clips from The Blacklist.

And although the voice is not one he recognises, he does suspect Liz (Megan Boone) as being the person behind the call, despite Dembe’s (Hisham Tawfiq) reassurances that Liz could not deliberately put his life in danger in such a way. (We’re kind of puzzled about that one too, Liz!)

The Blacklist will air two back to back episodes on Friday, the details of which follow below.

Meanwhile, in clip 2, Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) faces some unexpected news of his own when the prosecution moves to put him on the stand as a witness.

Lest we forget, back in the day, before Red joined the Task Force (in a manner of speaking), it was Ressler who led the hunt of the ‘Concierge of Crime.’

Could it be that Sima (Ken Leung) imagines Ressler will be a sympathetic witness for the prosecution? No?

What if Ressler faced the prospect of jail time himself?

Episode 6×09 “Minister D”

While Red (James Spader) fights in court to clear his name of treason once and for all, Liz (Megan Boone) and the Task Force investigate a Blacklister who has a reputation for leveraging dark secrets.

Meanwhile, Red mediates between two rival gangs in prison.

Coy Stewart and Lusia Strus also guest star.
