The Beast Wars are Here in First Trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

With Bumblebee acting as some kind of soft reboot for the franchise, Transformers is ready to move forward with Rise of the Beasts. Just in, we have our first trailer, and we get our first look at Optimus Primal and the Maximals.

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

If you follow your Transformers lore, you’ll know that the Maximals are actually descendants of the Autobots that have come to the past, and it looks like they will be adapting the same kind of arc here, with Primal giving Optimus an ominous warning.

Besides returning transformers like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, we also have a look at some new faces like Arcee (who we saw briefly in the previous film) and Mirage (some actually though it was Jazz from the first film). As for the Maximals, we have a look at Primal, Cheetor, Airazor, and Rhinox.

As for villains, it’s said that they will be the Terrorcons, and their leader will be Scourge, voiced by Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones). Scourge should also come with his own group of predacons, but for now, we don’t seem to have any revealed.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts comes to theaters on June 9, 2023.
