The Batman Movie Reportedly Being Rewritten, Production Not Until 2018

This has been one hell of a week for Batman fans. The web has been getting good news everyday about “The Batman” solo film starring Ben Affleck. Production won’t be starting until 2018, as Matt Reeves is busy working on “Planet Of The Apes” as posted by Justin Kroll on Twitter.

The Batman Movie, Rewritten

Ben Affleck told the public that he’d just finished his rehab program for alcoholism. This was not long after news on “The Batman” was released. He says the treatment did not interfere with the production schedule for the upcoming film.

And now, the newest report suggests that there’s still lots of work to do in terms of script for the movie. According to SlashFilm, the screenplay for “The Batman” is reportedly being rewritten from scratch. If this is true, then it means that every rumor that circulated until this point could all be useless. This also includes Deathstroke’s involvement as the main antagonist. But the good news is that Joe Manganiello is still in talks for the project. It might just mean that he’s still part of the film.

While fans might think that a rewrite is a bad thing, think again. Matt Reeves is coming in as “The Batman’s” director and it’s clear that he wants to have his own take on the project. He’ll be working on it from the start to finish, so THAT’S great news.

But in any case, “The Batman” is still on go. Before we know it, it’ll finally arrive.
