The Batman had just come out last March, but WB is ready to have him come to the small screen on HBO Max. Just in, HBO has dropped a new trailer for the streaming release of Matt Reeves’ take on the Dark Knight.
Watch this:
Admittedly, it’s pretty tame for a trailer, and it doesn’t have too much revealed—you don’t even get to see the Riddler or Penguin. With No Way Home slowly revealing appearances from Daredevil and the two other Spider-Men, you’d think the HBO Max teaser would want to show more of the film—especially since it’s been out for a while.
The Batman has proven to be a massive success when it came out in theaters, and Robert Pattinson has been welcomed by fans with open arms. While it is sad to see Batfleck go, it’s great that we get to watch a Batman that’s critiquing the recent darker takes on the character and is opening the door for a more hopeful Caped Crusader to come back to screens in the future.
Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.
The Batman comes to HBO Max on April 18.
