The Bat-Family Returns in Trailer for Harley Quinn 3

The next season of Harley Quinn comes to HBO Max later this month, and we have a new trailer showcasing the clash between Harley, Ivy, and the Bat-Family.

Joker’s in there too, with his own brand of mischief.

The mayhem and madness continue in season three of this biting and uproarious adult animated comedy series. Wrapping up their “Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour,” Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) return to Gotham as the new power couple of DC villainy. Along with their ragtag crew – King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), Frank the Plant (JB Smoove) – “Harlivy” strives to become the best version of themselves while also working towards Ivy’s long desired plan of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.

While we’ve watched Harley and Ivy come together throughout the course of the two seasons, this season will actually have the two going head-to-head, and Harley has to call for back-up with the Bat-Family. We’ve already met Batman, Robin, and Batgirl, but now we also get to meet Nightwing, who looks to be having his own beef with the Dark Knight.

As for Joker, it looks like he’s borrowing a move from Jack Nicholson’s version, what with him riding the giant cake with a giant balloon clown attached to it. There’s also a shot of him dancing down the stairs, taking from the infamous staircase scene from Joker.

If there’s something I love about this series, it’s the topical references despite the animated medium.

Harley Quinn Season 3 premieres on HBO Max this coming July 28.
