During Episode 9 of “The Bachelor” Season 22, Arie Luyendyk Jr. went for a solo date with each of the remaining women, Becca Kufrin, Kendall Long, and Lauren Burnham in Peru. Their dates were filled with passion, love, and excitement. But like what other people say, some things have to come to an end.
Becca’s Ex shows up
Even before the season began, promos have teased viewers that someone’s Ex will appear in the show to win one of the girls’ heart back. Now, it finally happened! During tonight’s “The Bachelor,” it was revealed that Becca’s ex-boyfriend was the one described.
Becca Kufrin’s ex-boyfriend, Ross Jirgl, surprised Arie when he showed up in Peru, hoping that he could have the chance to reconcile with Becca. During the conversation between Aries and Ross, Ross called Becca the “love of her life” and said that he wanted to marry her. He added that he only knew that Becca was on the show just a week before he decided to pay a visit.
Arie admitted that the presence of Ross pissed him off. He said he doesn’t want to lose Becca yet and probably the situation even made things complicated.
Becca told Arie during their one-on-one date earlier in the season that she had a serious relationship with a particular man for over seven years. Since Becca is 27, it means that she had Ross during her younger years until pre-adulthood. This fact could also say that it can have a lasting impact on her, what with the years they have been together.
Arie told Lauren he loves her
While everyone thinks and predicts which among the girls would have Arie at the end of “The Bachelor,” it looks like Lauren has the edge. After their date in Peru—which involved staring at shrubbery—Arie told Lauren “I love you” in an intense conversation. However, Lauren shouldn’t be so confident about that “ILY” since Arie told the same thing to all the girls. Of course, Lauren didn’t know about this.
But Lauren has the right to assume after Aries told her that when she confessed her love to him in Tuscany, he felt a seemingly similar emotion he never had for a very long time in his life. He also added that he fell quick and hard for Lauren and that he is happy that she’s still one of the remaining girls in the show.
The two had their date on a plane ride over the Nazca Lines. Lauren, however, was noticeably silent because of the fear she’s feeling. She told Arie that she is afraid he might leave her.
Arie and Kendall had sex already?
Many fans were surprised when Arie decided to keep Kendall and eliminate Tia last week. But seeing how they spent their date together in a buggy ride around the Peruvian Sand Dunes, it seems that Arie made a good decision after all. The two had a great time together and even admitted that they were falling in love with each other.
Kendall said that everything is going smoothly between her and Arie and she doesn’t want to ruin what they have right now just because she is not ready. Nevertheless, Kendall said “I love you” and he answered back.
After their date, they spent their night together in their suite. Because of that, fans were thinking that the two took their relationship to the next level by having sex. The overnight date, however, was not filmed so there’s no concrete evidence that the two did something. In the morning, they made breakfast together, with happiness plastered on their faces. Arie confessed that their quality time helped them know each other more.
Sadly, after all those things they’ve been through, Arie decided to send Kendall home during the rose ceremony. So with only Becca and Lauren left, we will now be heading into next week’s two-night finale!
Stay tuned for the finale of “The Bachelor” on March 5 and 6, at 8/7c on ABC.
