Temuera Morrison Disappointed He Wasn’t in The Mandalorian 3

With Din Djarin taking over a few episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, some fans were wondering if the third season of The Mandalorian will feature the OG Mando, but he was nowhere to be seen.
As it turns out, even Fett actor Temuera Morrison was disappointed he didn’t get a call. Talking at the Supanova Expo (via MSN), Morrison says, “I was supposed to be in The Mandalorian season 3 but nobody rang me. I was waiting for the phone call in New Zealand, waiting and wanting to give up.”
Morrison continues to joke:
“Well that Mando guy stole a few chapters of my book. It was painful watching him turn up with some black new lethal sword. And the way he turned up in my Book of Boba, he just destroyed everybody. I’m sure this guy is… ah… ruining my show. But I couldn’t say anything. I’m not the writer, so I have to bear it I guess.”
Though Fett did make his re-debut in The Mandalorian, it does feel like he’s finally settled as the new daimyo of Tatooine. It would have made sense for him to make even just one appearance when Din visits the planet to get R5, but you can also imagine that Boba had more pressing things to attend to.
If anything, fans hope Morrison could appear in other spinoffs like the Ahsoka series; not even as Boba Fett. A lot of Clone Wars fans have been hoping for a Captain Rex return, and they pretty much expect Morrison to play that role. We don’t have any official updates, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
For now, the complete Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+. You can also catch the first season of The Book of Boba Fett on the same platform.
