“Teen Wolf”’s Tyler Posey has been cast in a recurring role on The CW series “Jane The Virgin” as Gina Rodriguez’s love interest. Posey would appear in a multi-episode arc as someone from Jane’s past. His first appearance will be in the upcoming Season 3 finale.
Posey After Teen Wolf
Before landing a role as Jane’s love interest, Posey played true alpha Scott McCall on the MTV Drama “Teen Wolf”. Posey is taking a break before “Teen Wolf” Season 6B rolls around. Aside from playing Scott McCall, Posey is taking other directions in his career from acting to music to directing.
Posey will make his directorial debut in one episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 6B to air this June. Other screen credits include voice work for Disney animated series Elena of Avalor and an appearance in the Kevin Smith film Yoga Hosers.
He also has a music career, he was part of a four-man pop-punk band called Lost in Kostko and has released an eight-track EP back in 2011. Posey is also the lead singer of another band called Five North who set to release an EP after a year of recording.
Posey’s Role In Jane The Virgin
“Jane the Virgin” has already been renewed for Season 4 where we will get to know more about Posey’s character. In the last few episodes of “Jane The Virgin” season 3 there have been clues about Posey’s character and his role in Jane’s life.
During the cold open of “Jane the Virgin” season 3 episode 15, the narrator mentioned a few different things regarding Jane’s romantic history.
This included a statement where the narrator mentioned that Jane had been passionately in love with exactly three men in her life. The show already presented the two men Jane was in love with for past seasons. Brett Dier’s Michael Cordero, who tragically died in the middle of season 3, and Justin Baldoni’s Rafael Solano, the paternal father of Jane’s son Mateo
So there’s a possibility that Posey will play Jane’s first love.
Catch “Jane The Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. on The CW.
