'Supernatural' Season 13 Episode 10 Sam and Dean in a Dangerous World; Features Spinoff Wayward Sisters Next

Dean and Sam Winchester are in another world. It looks like things will turn from bad to worse for the two when Supernatural Season 13 returns next month.
The episode, titled “Wayward Sisters,” will pick up where the winter finale story left off. Jack (Alexander Calvert) was able to open a hole to a post-apocalyptic world where Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) mother, Mary (Samantha Smith), was trapped. He got help from dreamwalker Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip).
Unfortunately, Kaia was left in the real world. Jack was trapped with Mary while the Winchester brothers were sent to another world. Speculations indicate that the brothers could be in a dinosaur era or worst. The two were seen towards the end of the episode standing on a large footprint of an unknown creature. “Supernatural” showrunner Andrew Dabb teased that Sam and Dead landed in a world that is unlike anything that was also shown on the show.
Supernatural Season 13 winter finale has also teased the Wayward Sisters, the upcoming spinoff of The CW show. Psychic Patience Turner (Clark Backo) appeared at Sheriff Jody Mills’ (Kim Rhodes) doorstep to warn her about her vision of the death of the policewoman.

Who Are The Wayward Sisters

The new female group of hunters will be led by Jody, who has been like a second mom to Sam and Dean. She will be joined by fellow law enforcer/hunter Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster). Jody’s foster daughters Claire Novak (Kathryn Newton) and Alex Jones (Katherine Ramdeen) will also join the team. Supernatural Season 13 guest stars Backo and Guevara-Prip will make up the sisterhood.
The new girl squad is expected to work together to rescue the Winchester brothers. Supernatural co-executive producer and Wayward Sisters writer Robert Berens added the new TV series reveal more about Kaia’s power. “Her connection to this other place is actually very personal. She has a very dark and complicated relationship to this world,” Berens said in an interview with Variety.

What to Expect When Supernatural Season 13  Returns

The upcoming Supernatural episode will serve as the Wayward Sisters pilot episode. However, the showrunners assure that fan will still feel that they are watching their favorite fantasy horror series instead of the new show. Dabb said Episode 10 was specifically designed so the audience would still have the Supernatural feel even though they knew that it is Wayward Sisters premiere.
Supernatural Season 13 returns on January 18 at 8 p.m. on The CW with the backdoor pilot for “Wayward Sisters.”
