The horror-fantasy series “Supernatural” has a new surprise for all its fans! True enough, producers are keeping an ear out to what their fans want to see. And thankfully, the fans’ prayers have been answered because it looks like they’re trying on a new Spinoff as requested by their fan base, entitled “Wayward Sisters.”
Deadline reports that “Wayward Sisters” will be officially starring Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes). The pilot episode will also be aired on the 13th Season of “Supernatural,” but no one knows specifically when. It will be featured as a backdoor episode.
‘Supernatural’ Spinoff ‘Wayward Sisters’ shows off some Girl Power
Fans have stayed loyal to the Winchester brothers for all thirteen seasons. But once upon a time, they expressed their concern with female roles. According to them, so far there hasn’t been a long-standing female character in the series. Somewhere along the way, these characters either die or partake on a different journey.
Admittedly, the fanbase of “Supernatural” is predominantly female. Thus, the movement for a pack of strong female characters to lead an episode into action. Originally, the fans mentioned Sheriff Jody Mills, her colleague Sheriff Donna Hanscum, and the two homeless girls: Claire Novak and Alex Jones. Although there hasn’t been a confirmation if the last three will be participating in the Spinoff. Looking back, it will be a fitting collaboration.
It was initially entitled the ‘Wayward Daughters’ as suggested by the fans, but it seems the plot story will be centered on the relationship of a totally unrelated group of girls who consider one another their sisters.
The plot was said to focus on Sheriff Mills training a group of young, orphaned females which will result in a ‘supreme monster-fighting force.’ Their only connection to each other is their encounter with the Supernatural. And together, they take steps further into the mystery.
