HBO’s ‘Succession’ Gets Early Season 2 Renewal Ahead of Third Episode

A week after the season premiere of HBO’s Succession, the network renewed the hit TV series for a second season, announced by HBO Programming President, Casey Bloys last week.
On June 3rd, Succession premiere of its first season, which comprises of 10 episodes. The new drama series follows the story of the Roy family, who owns and manages Waystar/Royco, a massive media and entertainment conglomerate. The basic premise revolves around CEO Logan Roy’s four children, who are anticipating his step down from the higher tables and passing it to whoever among them that Logan sees fit.
Succession’s principal cast includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Hiam Abbass, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Natalie Gold, Peter Friedman, and Rob Yang.
The first few episodes of Succession, ‘Celebration‘ an ‘The Shit Show at the Fuck Factory‘ were very successful in defining what’s in store for us in this new TV series from the home of Westworld and Game of Thrones.
“Celebration” showed Logan Roy and his plans for the family company and how his son Kendall acts as heir to his father’s CEO-ship. The second episode focused on Logan’s incapacity of running the company, and the children having a dispute about who will take place as new CEO of the company.
Succession continues next Sunday, June 17th with “Lifeboats” at 10/9c on HBO.
