Stress Time for Tom as Bombshell Heads for Previews in Smash’s “The Invited Dress”

The April 13 episode of Smash, airing in its new 9 PM Saturday timeslot, sees plenty of rising tension as both Bombshell and Hit List move closer to production.

Tom (Christian Borle) and Julia (Debra Messing) must race to ready the new version of Bombshell for previews, but Tom’s eagerness to prove himself as director may cause the show more harm than good.

Meanwhile, Ivy (Megan Hilty) is forced to make a choice as the result of an onstage mishap, and things are getting more stressful for Hit List as Karen (Katharine McPhee) becomes suspicious of Derek’s (Jack Davenport) motives towards her.

Anjelica Huston, Jeremy Jordan, Leslie Odom, Jr., Krysta Rodriguez and Andy Mientus also star. Jamey Sheridan and Jesse L. Martin guest star.

“The Invited Dress” airs Saturday, April 13 at 9 PM ET/PT on NBC.
