The Strain Season 1 Episode 2 “The Box” First Details

The Strain, From Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) comes to FX from July 13.

This creepy new horror series follows a group of scientists from the Center for Disease Control, led by Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Cory Stoll), who are called to investigate mysterious deaths of all passengers and crew on a commercial airline flight.

However the investigation takes a supernatural turn when Ephraim discovers the mysterious biological strain that killed the passengers may be a deliberate and sentient pathogen that brings the dead back to life as vampire-like creatures.

The Strain also stars Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde Richard Sammel, Robert Maillet, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, Miguel Gomez and David Bradley.

The Box:

The four survivors begin manifesting strange symptoms, but Eph and Nora’s attempt to quarantine them is thwarted as the disinformation campaign begins.

Meanwhile, in jail, Setrakian receives a surprise visit from an old — a very old — acquaintance.
