Still from Deleted Wakanda Forever Scene has Okoye Fight the Dora Milaje

Danai Gurira’s Okoye may have been the lead of the Dora Milaje since we met her in the first Black Panther, but she has since been removed from her station and has been granted her own supersuit in Wakanda Forever.

Though we got to see ‘Midnight Angel’ go up against the Talokan in the movie, a deleted scene actually has Okoye fighting the Dora first. Though the sequence was cut, it’s said that it will be included in the Blu-Ray release of Wakanda Forever, and some fans have spotted a still of the fight from the first teaser. Check it:

Despite the death of Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther franchise still has an abundance of characters—all of which were able to shine in the sequel. Besides the character arc of Shuri, we also had some solid performances from Angela Bassett as the Queen Ramonda. Okoye, on the other hand, has been kicking ass ever since we first met her in the first movie, and she still managed to pull off some solid action in Wakanda Forever.

We don’t know what’s in store for Okoye in the future, but some guess that she could actually be an Avenger, what with her status during the Blip era. I think she’ll stay in Wakanda for a while, but I am open to seeing more of her in a non-Black Panther property in the future.

No official release date has been set for the Blu-Ray of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but some guess that we could get our hands on it come February 2023.
