Star Wars: Visions Season 2 Allegedly Premiering This Year

We know that Disney can be very protective of the Star Wars brand, but they tried to shake things up a bit when it came to their anthology animated series Star Wars: Visions. The show premiered last year, and it looks like we don’t have to wait too long until we get Season 2.
According to Cinelinx, ‘multiple, independent sources’ have confirmed that a second season has been in the works since the first season of Visions hit, and it’s set to come out later this year. There is no official reported release date, but the site speculates that we could get the premiere sometime later this season.
Just in case you haven’t checked it out, Visions was a collaboration of Lucasfilm with multiple anime studios to bring in non-canon animated shorts set in the realm of Star Wars. While there are some stories that stick to the rules of the established universe, the show also has some very unique takes on the material, sometimes just borrowing a few specific elements from the films and going all out with the story.
While the show isn’t necessarily every fans’ cup of tea, I personally love how the show just sticks to the core concepts of Star Wars, and delivers fun, colorful shorts. We still get to see some fun characters and great action, plus the core themes of good vs. evil are apparent in every episode. Personally, this is what I wanted Marvel’s What If…? to be.
