Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Synopses Reveals First Six Episodes

“Star Wars Rebels” is approaching its fourth and final season, they have released trailers and posters leading up to its premiere. They also released the plot synopsis of their first six episodes. It reveals that the hit animated series will take place between the timelines of “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope.”
The fourth season will also resolve a few dangling plot threads. It will bridge both “Rebels” and “The Clone Wars” as it leads into the events of “Rogue One.” The series was never shy in tying in with other “Star Wars” properties. The season will begin with the fight against the Empire at Mandalore and the arrival of Saw Gerrera voiced by Forest Whitaker.

Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Plots

At the end of the third season, our heroes escaped the clutches of Thrawn after the destruction of their base on Atollon and the death of Commander Sato. Season 4 will dig in deeper about the mysterious connection between Ezra, Kanan and the wolves and the Mandalorian Civil War.

The first two episodes of Season 4 will bring closure to Sabine Wren’s story. “Heroes of Mandalore” Part one and two has Sabine leading Ezra, Kenan and an army of Mandalorians back to her homeworld. She attempts to rescue her father from the clutches of the empire. Sabine discovers the Empire will use a devestating weapon against her people. A weapon Sabine created during her  days as a cadet at the Imperial Academy of Mandalore.
Episodes three and four will showcase tension between the Rebell Alliance and the Ghost Crew.  “In the Name of the Rebellion”, Part one has the Ghost Crew accepting a mission to spy on an Imperial outpost. Despite the fact they would rather destroy the outpost. Part two will see the return of Saw Garrera when Ezra and Sabine were separated from their team. Gerrera is still obsessed with the Empire’s elusive secret superweapon.
The last two episodes of the season give very little detail. In “The Occupation,” rebels are heading back to Lothal as a new threat rises. While “Fight of the Defender” Ezra and Sabine meet an unexpected character who will help them escape from Thrawn. Hinting at a betrayal or a heroic return of a beloved character before the season break.

Ahsoka Tano’s Fate in Star Wars Rebels

Fans of the series have been patiently waiting for this character’s return. Ahsoka Tano became one of the most beloved characters from the series in both “Clone Wars” and “Rebels.” With her last appearance in the Season two finale, it looks like her story might be over. A whole season has gone by and still no answer to Ahsoka’s fate.
She was first introduced as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan and quickly became a fan favorite. The last time she was on screen Ahsoka confronted Darth Vader in one of the most painful battles seen in the series. She faced the truth that her former teacher has become one of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy. But her fate was made unclear when she descended into the Sith Temple on Malachor.

Executive Producer Dave Filoni teased fans during the “Star Wars Rebels” Season 4 presentation wearing an “Ahsoka Lives?” t-shirt. He revealed a deleted scene where Ahsoka meets with Bendu before heading to Malachor. Filoni was vague when asked about what happened to Ahsoka after her battle with Darth Vader. Saying he always had a plan with her character, he didn’t give any more details.
Fans will soon find out her fate along with the conclusion of the Ghost crew’s story when Season 4 arrives on October 16. But the series will go on a minor hiatus after the first six episodes to make room for the release of “The Last Jedi.”
