Stan Lee Documentary Announced on His 100th Birthday

We may have lost Stan Lee back in 2018, but he remains to be an icon in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Lee would have celebrated his 100th birthday on December 28 this year, and Marvel Studios has decided it’s the best time to announce a documentary based on Lee’s life.

Check this out:

We don’t know exactly how extensively the documentary is going to cover Lee’s life, but there is certainly a lot of material to sift through. Before he was appearing in movie cameos, Lee had all kind of material put out supporting the comic industry and promoting all things Marvel.

While his image is generally very clean, I wonder if the documentary is going to be delving into the murkier aspects of Lee’s life. Back when it was announced that Lee had passed away, there was suddenly news going around that he was suffering from elder abuse not only from his manager, but even from his own daughter JC Lee.

It was all kind of shocking considering how beloved Lee was, and Disney being the brand that it is; I doubt they would shed some more light on the issues surrounding Lee around the time of his death.

That being said, I would love to go in-depth on his life story, and I’m excited for the premiere.

No specific release date has been announced for the series, but we should expect Stan Lee to come out on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
