The Latest Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailers Feature Gadgets, Vulture And An Overprotective Tony Stark

Sony has just released an overwhelming pair of new “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailers and now we’re more than excited for the film to drop. It features Michael Keaton’s Vulture in action, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) making sense of his suit (and basically vlogging the entire thing), and a ridiculously annoying Tony Stark trying his best to be an overprotective father figure to Peter.

Spider-Man: Homecoming US Trailer: A High-Tech Suit

The first trailer shows new and badass tricks up Spidey’s spandex sleeve. It gives us a deeper look into “Spider-Man’s” tech-enhanced super suit, complete with assistance from F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Jarvis’ replacement).

The spider suit is filled with Iron Man-like capabilities, even informing Peter of the “576 web shooter combinations” that he has in command. The spider logo at the back of his suit can also be detached to be used as a parachute (you know, in case “Spider-Man” falls and fails to use his instincts). We’ve already seen the chest piece drone in the previous trailers, but it’s still amazing nonetheless.

The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” US trailer also features a look into Peter’s high school life, with a significant deviation from the alienated nerd that we’ve all been used to in the comics.

It’s also obvious how Peter is also proud of his mini-superhero adventures, as he brags to Tony how he takes down a bike thief and dreaming of bigger challenges (where the Vulture ultimately comes in).

We also see a light banter between Peter and his best friend Ned, where the latter discovers that Tony installed a “training-wheels protocol” on “Spider-Man’s” super-suit to disable some of it’s greater capabilities. (We’re wondering if these will be seen in the film, though.)

Peter then groans, “I’m sick of Mr. Stark treating me like a kid.”

“But you are a kid,” Ned reminds him.

“Yeah,” Parker says, “a kid who can stop a bus with his bare hands!”

Spider-Man: Homecoming International Trailer: The Vulture Showdown

In the previous trailers for “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Keaton’s Vulture was shown a handful of times with very little dialogue. Now, the final trailer for the film features him entirely, along with the action and ferocity of his character

Also known as Adrian Toomes, the Vulture runs an underground criminal group that uses fallout tech from the Chitauri incident in New York back in the first “Avengers” movie.

The trailer reveals the basic M.O. of Toomes and his gang — to which Peter finds out eventually. In one footage, Toomes talks about being able to get away from all his crimes for years until the superhero “in red tights shows up.” It also shows us Vulture’s ultimate endgame: to break in the Avengers Tower, steal Tony Stark’s weapons stash to enhance his criminal operations.

Once Tony figures this out, it seems like he will be enlisting Spidey’s help to prevent the Vulture from even infiltrating Stark’s tower. We all know that the “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” is occupying himself with his plans for what’s to come in “Avengers: Infinity War.”

The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer still includes that heated argument between Peter and Tony where he ultimately takes the suit away from him. Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) is also shown, as well as a funny and youthful sequence of Peter blogging the airport fight in “Captain America: Civil War.”

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” hits theaters July 7, 2017. Watch the two trailers below:
