Sleepy Hollow “Sanctuary” Teasers: Welcome To The Family

With the holiday right around the corner fans of Sleepy Hollow will have much to be thankful for after quite the spirited hour this upcoming Monday.

Ironically titled “Sanctuary,” episode nine sees Ichabod and Abbie on the search for a missing billionaire. Their case brings them to an old colonial era home that is much more than a stack of old bricks and rotting wood. The house is holding a slew of secrets hostage and as our witnesses soon find out, them as well. As Ichabod and Abbie fight to find the missing woman and make their way out of the house, they uncover new and important tidbits about the Cranes’ past.

I. Welcome To The Family

During their time in the house Abbie and Ichabod inadvertently discover information about his past, but our second witness also unearths some history of her own. The new information leads to both a surprising and heart-warming connection between their family trees. And no, they aren’t related.

II. Frank Irving a.k.a. The Ladies Man

Last week we watched Frank and Jenny team up and become our next to favorite pairing, only second for many to Sleepy Hollow‘s lead duo. It would seem all that time the two spent kicking butt and taking names later more than warmed them to one another. Don’t get too comfortable with the bonding though. Frank gets a visit from two other women in his life, both of whom have something to say.

III. He Can’t Be Tamed

Episode after episode we have watched Ichabod Crane slowly unravel and though he may never have been the definition of agreeable, it is a trait he has certainly worn less and less. As the jokes increased so did Ichabod’s disgruntlement with his predicament, but in “Sanctuary” the joke’s pretty much up. Say hello to Ichabod Crane: Monster Hunter.

IV. Got A Secret, Can You Keep It?

The last couple of episodes provided viewers with flashbacks to help piece together how Ichabod and Katrina built a life together 250 years ago. This episode keeps up with tradition for the most part, however, it focuses much less on our dusty time traveler and more on his beautiful wife. Expect to see part of Katrina’s life and the relationships resulting from her own gift. Katrina’s story also holds a shocking secret buried by time, and boy what a reveal it is.

FOX’s new Monday night hit has done an incredible job of creating an inclusive world where many of its viewers feel represented on screen. Get ready for the show to expand on that inclusion as it introduces a wonderful new (recurring) character.
