SIX is about the brotherhood of SEAL Team Six. After the death of their former leader, Richard ‘Rip’ Taggart (Walton Goggins), the team members’ separate lives are severely affected. Because of this, they want payback. Their paths cross with Agent Gina Cline (Olivia Munn) who also seeks vengeance. Michael Nasry (Dominic Adams) is yet to prove whether or not his cooperation with the government is worth his life.
In this week’s episode of SIX, Agent Cline brings the team one step closer to having their revenge on the person responsible for Rip’s death. As the team prepares for their next operation, they encounter a series of problems that have some of them lose focus. Trouble stirs at home as the suspect for Rip’s murder is released by the FBI, and Jackie Ortiz (Nadine Velasquez) recognizes the need for a gun to protect their family.
Disturbances
Marissa (Katherine Evans) tries to contact Michael through the internet. On the news, she discovers that the suspect for Rip’s murder has been released. Joe “Bear” Graves sees the same report as he turns the TV in his hotel room on. He receives a call from his friend and co-team member, Alex Caulder (Kyle Schmid) who invites him over to his place to have some beer. While they are talking, Alex succumbs to his injuries from their previous operation. He insists on having Bear crash at his place after knowing that he was staying at a hotel. However, Bear declines. Bear ends the call abruptly after Alex brings up the topic about his wife, Lena Graves (Brianne Davis).
Anabel Ortiz (Jessica Garza) tells her parents, Jackie and Ricky “Buddha” Ortiz (Juan-Pablo Raba) about her visit to their previous house, saying that no one has rented it yet. She expresses her wish to go back to their old home, saying that she misses her room. She even asks her dad to back her up, but Ricky agrees with his wife, saying that it is indeed dangerous to go back there. Out of frustration, Jackie breaks one of the glassware that she was washing.
That evening, Jackie tells Ricky that she wants a gun. Ricky reasons out that it would be dangerous to her and for the kids. Also, training on how to use a gun would be difficult. He insists that they were safe in where they were currently staying in. She sarcastically uses Rip’s death as her reason for saying that they are not safe. Because of this, Ricky decides to express his stress by working out.
Marissa returns from buying groceries. Her neighbor, who was the recently released suspect for Rip’s murder, was being harassed by two men. She comes to his rescue by driving the men away and keeping him in her apartment. He is delighted when he finds out that she is a Muslim too, but after he sees the photos of Rip and Buddha on her bed, he takes a step back, saying that the Qu’ran teaches peace. She tells him that if he could show her the passage, she would turn herself in. When he leaves to get the passage in his room, she kills him with an ashtray. When there was no one around, Marissa dragged her neighbor’s body back into his apartment.
The next day, Jackie goes to Alex’s house. He was surprised to see her; then he invites her to come inside. Jackie asks him to help her acquire a gun, saying that she could not buy one using their money because Ricky would know. Also, she says that she would not tell Ricky where the gun was from if he helped her. Alex says that it is a bad idea and he insists that she should talk to Ricky about it instead. Jackie continues to plea to Alex, saying that it was for her family.
Distractions
When Bear ends their call, Alex takes pain pills from the drawer of his counter. He pounds it so he could snort it. However, he decides not to do this as he remembers what had happened when he overdosed on them. Instead, he takes aspirins from the medicine cabinet in his comfort room.
At the base, Robert Chase (Edwin Hodge) shoots a taser at Trevor Wozniak (Eric Ladin). Armin “Fishbait” Khan (Jaylen Moore), alongside other SEALs, laugh at him, seeing how ridiculous Trevor looked like. Their fun bonding time ends when Fishbait refuses to play their game which makes Trevor say offensive things about Muslims. Robert breaks their fight up then Fishbait leaves. He asks Trevor if he had anything to say about Black people like him, but Trevor replies that he loves Brown people.
Alex brings Bear to a bar. He insists that Bear should try to get back in the game; that he should start going out with other women. Bear’s first attempt went bad after the woman sees his wedding ring. Alex laughs at this, saying that it brings him down. They have more drinks with multiple women until Bear finally manages to get a girl for himself. Still, he decides to leave the bar alone, thinking about Lena.
When he arrives back in the hotel room, he calls Lena, but her sister answers the phone, saying that she left it at her house. When he asks her where Lena had gone to at that hour of the day, she ends the call, saying that she has to go. A few moments later, Alex knocks on his door bringing two girls (Keilani Elizabeth Rose and Olena Medwid). Bear does not open the door even as the girls have left, leaving Alex sleeping in the hallway.
The Operation
John, or “The Prince” (Nikolai Nikolaeff) goes on a morning run somewhere in Chechnya. At some point, he stops as he receives a call. The man on the phone tells him that Michael’s capture compromised their plans by the Americans. Their jihadist organization, Boko Haram, has decided to dispatch Michael as well as to kill Agent Cline when they have the chance. However, the speaker tells The Prince that Michael would still be of use to them. He considers this request.
Michael gives Agent Cline a lead on capturing The Prince. She gives the information Michael provided her to her superior, Kate Kilcannon (Samantha Ferris). As Kate tells her that it is their only shot at the moment, her mind flashes back to the mission that led to Vince, her lover’s death. She snaps out of it as Kate decides to present the information to the chain.
Outside the interrogation room, Agent Cline smokes while she watches Michael pray. Kate stands beside her. Amused at what she sees, she turns the speakers connected to the listening devices inside the room on. She asks Agent Cline what he was saying. Agent Cline then translated every line that Michael had said, telling her that it was a supplication prayer. Kate tells her that the mission has been approved, so she says that she wants an assault team under her control.
Bear finally opens the door to his hotel, saying that they have been recalled. He tries to help Alex vomit after he sees that he is still hungover, but Alex tells him that he could do it himself. As they pack their belongings, Trevor brings out a necklace with a finger as its pendant. He had it molded after Osama Bin Laden’s son, whom he killed. Fishbait thinks of Trevor’s talisman as ridiculous while Robert says that it could be considered as something similar to a rabbit’s foot.
They arrive in Saravejo, Bosnia, ten hours later. The team gets acquainted with Agent Cline as they settle in. She briefs the men on the details about their mission. Buddha notices that their main target was John who was once their asset and thought to have shot by Agent Cline. She simply says that John managed to survive. She gives them all the other details, then tells them that this is their shot at getting back to those responsible for Rip’s death. Agent Cline approaches Buddha after the briefing, asking if they were going to have a problem. He tells her that the last time she led an operation, it failed. Agent Cline makes her point by saying that this time, they were after the same thing.
Robert and Fishbait take surveillance on the targets. Robert sends the photos to the base, and they confirm each of the people they had photographed, except for one man who was their potential target. After some time, the convoy leaves, so the SEALs pursue them. The convoy stops at a warehouse where an MMA fight was being held. Agent Cline requests Bear to send some men out to keep an eye on the target, so he sends Buddha, Alex, and Trevor.
Inside the warehouse, the fight continues. The trio catch sight of the target. Trevor goes to the comfort room. Coincidentally, the target goes there as well. He speaks to Trevor in Bosnian and Trevor responds by giving him a wry smile. After he got back to Buddha and Alex, he tells them that they have been compromised. As Alex notifies the team outside, the targets start moving. Agent Cline tells them to engage the targets despite the fact that they have not identified the main target yet. Fishbait and Robert point out that things could go wrong, but Bear tells the team to move out.
Alex and Trevor follow the possible main target and his bodyguard. The team outside cautiously exit the van. When the armed men outside see them, they start to aim their guns, but the SEALs took out most of them in a flash. Eventually, they eliminate all the hostiles outside the warehouse. Alex and Trevor continue to follow the duo. Alex notifies the team about the location of the last two targets when he stops in mid-sentence, interrupted by his injuries. The guard pulls out a gun, but Trevor shoots first, killing him. The last target manages to shoot the gun off of Alex’s hand. Trevor provides cover fire for Alex. Buddha comes out of the backdoor then he shoots the last target. When Robert and Fishbait remove the target’s shades and hat, Buddha tells them that he is not John.
At the base, Bear brings Agent Cline to the bodies of their targets. He points her to who they thought was John, and she confirms that it was not him. Bear talks to Alex as they enter the van. Alex insists that he is not getting on the plane, but Bear manages to convince him to go. When the van leaves, Buddha approaches Agent Cline, pointing out that it was the second time that he was on a failed mission with her because of wrong intel. She tells him that she had been lied to.
Trevor takes photos of the dead bodies. Robert sees this, warning Trevor that he would be discharged if he is seen with those photos on his phone. Trevor replies that he saw him doing the same thing. At that same moment, John visits the site. He learns about the attack on his men that day. When one of them asks what they were to do, he tells him that they must mourn the dead first. Robert secretly takes photos of the dead bodies when no one is looking. John leaves the site.
